The collection and discharge of rainwater is one of the most important aspects of building services engineering. Due to the increasing use of roof surfaces and car parks, ever increasing demands are made on the functionality, fire safety and vandal resistance of rainwater discharge drains.
GMX steel drainage pipes are rainwater drainage for rainwater discharge. The GMX system can also be used for (hot) effluent, ground and ventilation pipes and is available in diameters from 40 to 125 mm.
Materials: drain pipes and connection fittings are made from welded, cold drawn precision steel tubes to EN 10305-3. Tensile strength: Rm 310-410 N/mm2; Extension: A5, at least. 28% The GMX rubber seal has the form of a ribbed seal and is placed in the upper socket area. When the other pipe end is inserted, the lips push themselves against the inside of the sealing area which is created as well as against the outside of the inserted pipe. The rubber seal collar is situated at the edge of the socket and protects the seat of the sealing element when the other pipe is being inserted. When the liquid pressure in the pipe rises, the lips of the sealing element push themselves closer to the pipe wall and by doing so, they increase the tightness of the connection. For application in domestic drainage systems, the sealing element is of waste water resistant quality (to DIN 4060); NBR, SBR.
Corrosion protection:
All pipes and connecting pieces are galvanised on all surfaces inside and outside. The zinc coating is impact resistant and has an average coating thickness of 400 gr/m2 of 56m?. Additionally, the pipes and components have alkyd/melamine resin based coating. This internal coating reduces the friction on the inside surfaces and considerably reduces the accumulation of residues. Both the zinc coating and the organic coating satisfy the NEN-EN 1123-1 requirements.
KOMO-approved.
